Series of images titled I KNOW SOMETHING has been worked from the 1990s to 2019. Original head-shots have been photographed in New York City.

This series of images is a photographic attempt to represent the moments of encounters in which I do not claim to know the subjects personally but I recognize the public figures in their appearance as private individuals. In the images they project their own personal information.

I have studied the space between me as a photographer and the photographed subjects. I have built a new layer in the photos that distances the photographs from the original conditions. I have confronted the original images and have re-photographed them.

I have combined series of separate head-shots into compilations that act as a flat field with a surface of rhythm-based figure and form.

I have continued to create a new layer that is no longer in the original scene of action. This allows me to view the subject in a time capsule like visual space in the historical continuity of the subjects’ lives and the perceptions of the general public as in the historical theaters.
