I have not used the word documentary anymore since I find that mandate educational. I call my productions non-fiction that is based on my own historical needs to position myself in any given locality as active participation together with my subjects that are in this link as a film theatre.

I have mixed the film with contemporary art pieces by artist Stella De Boo as well as my own photographic artworks. All of the work cuts have been filmed in art studio-like conditions in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. With this material, I have studied the connections between photographic processes and Stella De Boo’s artworks and I also wanted to acknowledge and show the influence of her art on my own work. Most of the material was filmed in Rotterdam. The final perspective in the editing was done in Finland in early 2019.
